There is a growing movement within historic Mainline denominations to raise up new, Biblically faithful leadership and to revitalize, renew and reform local congregations. Nowhere is this need more critically felt than in the area of ministry to the sexually sinful, broken and confused.
On Saturday August 7, Transforming Congregations Director Karen Booth will lead a workshop at the "Answering the Call Conference" called "Speaking Christianly About Human Sexuality." It will explore outreach strategies that offer "compassion without compromise" by balancing grace and truth. She will also be sharing her personal testimony of worldview change from "pro-gay" to "post gay."
Though focusing primarily on the Mainline, all conference events are open to any church leader - pastors, lay ministers, counselors, seminary and college students.
