The Exodus Freedom Conference is a place for biblical training, education, and to hear the message proclaimed that freedom from homosexuality is possible through Jesus Christ.

  Joe Dallas

Joe’s ministry in sexual addiction recovery and homosexuality is nationally recognized.  He is Program Director of Genesis Counseling in Tustin, California, a counseling ministry for men. He is a popular conference speaker and author of five books including Desires in Conflict, The Gay Gospel? , and When Homosexuality Hits Home. Joe taught and conducted the nationally recognized “Every Man’s Battle” 5-Day conference, and formerly served as the President of Exodus.  He is now a regularly featured speaker with the Focus on the Family “Love Won Out” conference.  Last year, he received the King Josiah award at the Freedom Conference for his ministry. 

Sheila Walsh

Sheila is a powerful inspirational communicator who is a unique combination of author, speaker, worship leader, television talk show host, and Bible teacher. She is a featured speaker at the nationwide Women of Faith Conferences and creator of Children of Faith Conferences. Author of the best-selling books for adults and children, successful talk show host, she is currently working on completing her Masters in Theology degree and lives in Dallas, Texas, with her husband, Barry, her 9- year-old son, Christian. 

Sy Rogers

Regarded as a gifted international communicator, award-winning talk show host, recording artist and pastor, Sy has served for over two decades in ministry as a pastoral care specialist regarding sexuality and related concerns. His seminars and speaking events are conducted trans-denominationally on 6 continents, for a wide variety of audiences.  Featured in numerous media interviews & articles, Sy has been selected as one of '50 Up & Coming Evangelical Leaders Under 40' by Christianity Today Magazine. Dr. Michael Brown 

Dr. Brown is founder and president of ICN Ministries, devoted to taking the message of repentance and revival to Israel, the Church, and the Nations. He met the Lord in 1971 as a drug using drummer. Since then, he has preached around the world, written books, and lectured at leading seminaries. He is committed to helping raise up a holy army of consecrated believers who will spark a spiritual, moral, and cultural revolution in the land. He and his team birthed the FIRE School of Ministry, where he continues to serve as its president and as a full-time faculty member. Dr. Brown has served as a visiting professor at both Fuller Theological Seminary School of World Mission and at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School. 

Dr. Ken Hutcherson

Dr. Hutcherson is the Founder and Senior Pastor of Antioch Bible Church in Kirkland, WA. Dr. Hutcherson is a former Former NFL Linebacker, and now  a nationally known speaker. He is a national leader of Adoption Reform, and the Founder of the movement MayDay for Marriage (To preserve marriage between one man and one woman.) Dr. Jimmy Evans

A gifted Bible teacher and preacher, Pastor Jimmy's passion in ministry is to teach and equip Christians to fulfill God's purpose and call for their lives. He teaches the principles of God in a clear, practical, and often humorous way as he makes himself vulnerable through personal examples in his teaching. He is the author of several books: Marriage on the Rock, Freedom From Your Past, and Resolving Stress in Your Marriage. He also hosts the national television program, Marriage Today. Shannon Ethridge

Shannon is the best-selling author of Every Woman’s Battle and coauthor of Every Young Woman’s Battle, as well as a wife, mother, speaker, and lay counselor.  Previously a youth pastor and abstinence educator, Shannon has a master's degree in counseling/human relations from Liberty University and she speaks regularly on the Teen Mania Ministries campus and in a variety of other church and college settings. Valorie Burton

A sought-after life coach and speaker, Valorie Burton’s purpose is inspiring people to live more fulfilling, less stressful lives. She is the author of Listen to Your Life and Rich Minds, Rich Rewards. She coaches entrepreneurs, executives, and other professionals. Her greatest fulfillment comes when her clients, readers and audience members take action and make meaningful changes that transform their work, relationships, finances, health and spiritual lives. Janelle Hallman

Janelle is a dynamic speaker nationally and internationally. She creatively addresses issues related to human brokenness, gender, sexuality and redemption and healing. Janelle is a licensed professional counselor specializing with women in conflict with same-sex attractions and emotional dependencies. She has spoken for Focus on the Family and Exodus, and as well has served as an adjunct professor at Denver Seminary. She is also the Executive Director of Desert Hope Ministries, a non-profit organization providing dynamic conferences on God's design for sexuality in response to our overtly sexualized and darkened culture. Christopher West

Christopher West is a research fellow and faculty member of the Theology of the Body Institute. He is also one of the most sought after speakers in the Church today, having delivered more than 1000 public lectures on 4 continents, in 9 countries, and in over 150 American cities. All three of his books – Good News About Sex & Marriage, Theology of the Body Explained, and Theology of the Body for Beginners – have become Catholic best sellers. 

Pastor Dale Evrist

Dale Evrist is the Senior Pastor of New Song Christian Fellowship, a vibrant and contemporary Foursquare church in Brentwood, Tennessee.  His ministry is dedicated to bringing hope and wholeness to individuals and families, as well as ministering to those involved in arts, music and media.  Dale’s messages incorporate solid biblical truth with culturally relevant themes and healthy doses of humor.  Dale has been in pastoral ministry for over twenty-five years. 

Kathy Koch

Kathy Koch, Ph.D. is the Founder and President of Celebrate Kids, Inc. of Fort Worth, Texas. She speaks primarily to parents, children of all ages, educators, women, singles, and missionaries nationally and internationally in churches, schools, and conventions. She's looking forward to returning to speak at another Exodus convention. Her first book, Finding Authentic Hope and Wholeness: 5 Questions That Will Change Your Life, was published in 2005.  (2003, 2005 Freedom Conferences)

David Kyle Foster

In 1980, while on a search for truth in Israel, Jesus Christ rescued David from his empty pursuit of fame, drugs, gurus, and immorality and set him afire for things of the Kingdom of God. David became the founder and president of Mastering Life Ministries in 1987. His first book, Sexual Healing: God's Plan for the Sanctification of Broken Lives, (available in English and Spanish), is now in its 4th printing and has been used by all over. He has spoken worldwide on the healing of life-dominating sin and brokenness, has appeared many media venues, and now his hosting his own television program on the Angel Network called Pure Passion.   Dr. Julie Harren

Dr. Harren is a licensed marriage and family therapist providing psychotherapy since in a variety of contexts, and is currently in private practice. She conducts seminars for pastors and Christian leaders on the origins of homosexuality and how to minister to homosexuals. She has produced a video entitled, Homosexuality 101.

Dr. Harren currently serves on the board of the National Association for the Research and Therapy of Homosexuality, where she is also the chairperson of the Women’s Issues Committee. She also serves on the board of Worthy Creations, a Member Ministry of Exodus.

Melissa Fryrear

Melissa Fryrear serves as the Director of Gender Issues for Focus on the Family's government and public policy division. She is actively involved in public speaking, writing and educating Focus constituents on a wide range of subjects related to homosexuality. Prior to joining Focus, Melissa served as executive director of an Exodus-International Member Ministry in Kentucky. She continues to serve as the church affiliate representative for Exodus International. Melissa holds a Master of Divinity from Asbury Theological Seminary.

Worship & Arts

In the past few years, we have had several groups to help provide the worship, drama and artistic elements to our general sessions, including the following:

   Holland Davis

Holland is the Assistant Pastor of Devotional Arts at Ocean Hills Community Church in San Juan Capistrano, California. Holland has been a worship leader for Exodus conferences for several years.  Holland has had the opportunity to be involved in planting five churches and served as the A&R Director for Maranatha! Music and the General Manager for Calvary Chapel Music and the founder of the School Of Worship at Costa Mesa where I served as Pastor Chuck’s worship Leader.

Holland has also written many popular songs for Promise Keepers, Harvest Crusades, Billy Graham and Maranatha! Music - including Let It Rise. He continues to record and more about Holland and his music can be found on his website.

  Marianne Adams

Marianne Adams is a former member of the internationally known group, Sierra. She is a recording artist and song writer joining us to lead worship at the SE Regional Freedom Conference.

John Mandeville

John Mandeville's writing, he says, has been inspired by the miraculous presence of God in his life. He wrote his first song at 12, and has been writing, producing and performing music ever since. Beginning with a song awarded a top-ten hit in 1992, since he has had a succession of honors through his career. He has played with 4Him and Point of Grace, and produced a Dove-nominated song with Tammy Trent. His latest album, Lifestyle of Worship, conveys the true lifestyle he wishes to portray to the world. Jason Upton - special Worship Conference

Jason and his wife Rachel had an encounter with God that left them searching for something more than merely going to churches to sing. They wanted to make a long lasting impact on the communities where they were invited. As they finished their MDiv program at Regent University, they regularly gathered with other worshipers to pray and intercede.  These times developed into ministry that has traveled with them.  Their live worship recording is entitled "Key of David." Dennis Jernigan

Dennis Jernigan is a song receiver and worship leader. Raised in Oklahoma, Dennis has been playing piano and singing since he was a young boy.  Dennis shares his story freely because, in his own words, "If I simply lead people to freedom, they will worship." Jernigan believes worship is all about relationship rather than performance...and he believes he is called to help people get honest with themselves and with God simply because He has found in his own life that honesty and truth have set him free. Through the joys of victory as well as through the sorrow and pain of the struggles that life brings, God's grace and the freedom he has found in knowing Jesus permeate the music God breathes through this man's heart.

Jim Shores and Carol Anderson - Acts of Renewal
