For the past few years at the Freedom Conference, a growing
portion of attendees are young men and women under the age of 25. They come
from colleges and universities, churches, big cities and small towns around the
country. Sometimes they even come from outside North
America. A few come with their families or with a friend, but most
come alone. For many of them, the Freedom Conference is their first time
experiencing freedom to talk, ask and share openly about their struggles in a
Christian environment.
So Exodus created Xscape, a special part of the conference
focused o n the concerns of young people. Through Xscape, delegates under 25
have access to sessions, workshops, small groups and activities geared towards
them. Our new Regional Freedom Conferences also have an Xscape track for students.
As we prepare for our upcoming Conference, our prayer is that
God will be stirring in the hearts of more young people than ever to come to Wheaton, IL to be encouraged, emboldened and experience
Him with us.
Students, however, are often deterred from attending because
of the cost. If there are young people in your church who could be ministered
to by the Exodus Freedom Conference, and who desire to go, please consider
helping them get to Wheaton, IL this summer! Also consider giving to our
Freedom scholarship fund.
Students and Young Adults (Children see below)
Any minor, 17 years or younger, must be registered by a parent
or guardian (Guardian Form), and may attend workshops with a parent or guardian.
Children under the age of 13 are NOT allowed in workshop sessions.
Anyone 18 or older is allowed to register as an adult delegate.
Youth Housing
Exodus will NOT assign housing for youth 17 and under; they must be housed with parents.
Special Note to Students and Youth Who Are Struggling
Please note that Exodus is aware of the growing desire among
many teenagers to attend the annual conference for their own
personal needs (not just because their parents are attending
the event). Exodus International has a division called "Exodus
Youth" which is committed to serving the needs of teenagers
and college-age youth. The Exodus Freedom conference will
include special events just for you!
Children Not Registered for
the Conference
Exodus allows children 12 and under to attend the morning
and evening general sessions, when accompanied by a parent
or guardian who is registered for the event. Due to the sensitive
and adult nature of the topics discussed at the workshop classes
and special interest groups, no one under the age of 13 is
allowed entrance into breakout sessions. Minors (age 13-17) may attend general sessions
with a parent or guardian, but must be registered delegates
to attend workshop sessions.
